The Production People was founded back in 2004. Over the last two decades, we have prided ourselves on creating exceptional teams behind the scenes.
Having hailed from different corners of the Irish media industries, our founders, Deirdre and Louise, understood the importance of having a skilled, conscientious, punctual, and dedicated crew on-hand.
With their vast knowledge of the Film and Television landscape, it wasn’t long before The Production People transformed into a market-leading, multi-award-winning staffing agency.
Along with our sister company, Casting Ireland, we are now a one-stop shop for both Cast and Crew..
Our Origin Story
Co-founders, Louise Nolan and Deirdre Ryan, spent decades working in the Irish media landscape. They experienced, first-hand, the challenges associated with securing regular, fulfilling work.
This led to the question: “If this is a hurdle facing seasoned pros, how are new industry entrants supposed to get their foot in the door?”
Driven by ambition to provide frequent, stable opportunities to a diverse pool of creative candidates, Deirdre and Louise devised a system whereby professionals could register their core skills. This would allow reputable employers to source crew from one centralised location, leading to the birth of The Production People.
Since 2004, the business has become the largest staffing agency for the creative industries in Ireland.

Deirdre Ryan
Moreover, Deirdre is an experienced Broadcast Vision Mixer, playing an active, hands-on role in live entertainment, music productions, and events. It is this in-depth knowledge of the media industry, in conjunction with her recruitment and business skills, that pushes us go a step further to meet our Clients' needs. This is one of the many qualities that makes Casting Ireland unique in its service.
Having a team leader that is methodical and strategic, but also empathetic and understanding, is what makes us one of Ireland’s most successful casting agencies. Under Deirdre’s visionary leadership, we will continue to hold our ranking as a market-leader while conquering new goals.
Donal Duggan

Rachel Barrett-Swart
Rachel has grown with our company. She is now in charge of sourcing and placing qualified professionals in diverse job vacancies within various creative industries. At our sister company, The Production People, she has excelled in connecting the best people to the right projects in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
As if all her recruiting skills were not enough, Rachel is level-headed and wise. She's the person we look to when things don’t go as planned. She always has an original solution to any challenge we may be facing, inside or outside of the agency walls!
Bianca Vertiz
This experience, combined with her marketing, PR, digital platform, and corporate branding prowess - skills she refined through an MBA in Mexico and a Masters in Public Relations in TU Dublin - make her the ideal candidate to spearhead the strengthening of our online presence. She also leads our internal and external communications, as well as our outbound sales.
Bianca takes an idea and turns it into reality. With her drive and creativity, we have updated many of our internal processes, improving our talent management and customer service standards. With Bianca at the helm, things get done right.
David Hussey
With a background in English and Photography, he's a master of creative problem-solving, always thinking outside the box for actionable solutions. His previous experience as an Artist Liaison and Studio Manager means he understands the importance of efficient and proactive teamwork, alongside people skills, to deliver seamless results.
Dave is delighted to be a part of our passionate, ambitious, and dynamic team. With him by our side, we’re excited for what the future has in store for The Production People and Casting Ireland.
Roisín Mcardle
Roisín is always on the lookout for exciting and creatively fulfilling opportunities for our Actors and Models. She is a strong advocate for each and every individual in our Talent Pool. When casting a new project, she ensures our proposals reflect the diversity found in Ireland, as well as offer emerging talents a helping hand in kickstarting their careers.
Finding someone so thorough, reliable, and versatile, as well as kind and thoughtful can be tricky. We feel very lucky to have Roisín on our team! We can’t wait to discover all the aspirational things we will achieve with her by our side.
