Founded in 2004, The Production People is a staffing agency focusing on connecting the most talented professionals to fulfilling projects in the Broadcasting, Film & Television, Live Events, Arts & Culture, and other Creative Industries in Ireland. Along with our sister company, Casting Ireland, we are a one-stop shop for the hire of Cast and Crew on the island of Ireland.
OUR STORY
Our co-founders, Louise Nolan and Deirdre Ryan, spent decades working in the Media and Broadcasting industry. This firsthand experience provided a comprehensive understanding of the difficulty associated in maintaining regular and fulfilling work opportunities for seasoned professionals and the challenges for new recruits in securing that first step on the ladder to a rewarding career in the industry.
Their desire to create a trustworthy source of employment where creative professionals could register their core skills, and reputable employers seeking those skills could access them in one central location, led to the birth of The Production People – a specialised employment agency and central database to match creative talent with rewarding opportunity in return for mutual business and career success.
Since then, our growth has gone from strength to strength. We are the largest staffing and crewing agency for the media and creative industries in Ireland. Our unique talent pool comprises of specialists in Broadcasting, Audiovisual, Media, Arts, Culture and Events, among many others. We pride ourselves on finding the right people for the right jobs. Meet our dream team
Deirdre Ryan
Moreover, Deirdre is an experienced Broadcast Vision Mixer, playing an active hands-on role in live entertainment, music productions, and events. It is this in-depth knowledge of the media industry, in conjunction with her recruitment and business skills, that makes us go one step further to meet our Client’s needs. This is one of the many things that makes The Production People unique.
Having a team leader that is methodic and strategic, but also empathetic and understanding, is what makes us one of Ireland’s most successful Employment Agencies. Under Deirdre’s visionary leadership, we will continue achieving many more business goals in the years to come!
Donal Duggan
Donal’s strategic vision and dynamic approach have been key in transforming our operations and business development. During his time with us, he has shined in developing and leading our operations team, and ensuring a solid customer-focused foundation. This has helped us to boost client satisfaction and business success. Additionally, Donal’s ability to spot market opportunities has enabled us to create business relationships with new clients and broaden our staffing and recruitment offers to long-lasting clients.

Rachel Barrett-Swart
Rachel's career began as a Casting Intern, where she quickly demonstrated her talent and enthusiasm. Her exceptional skills led to her promotion to Casting Assistant at Casting Ireland, our sister company. By 2020, Rachel had transitioned into the role of Crew Coordinator for The Production People, where she excelled in connecting with candidates and managing client relationships.
In 2023, Rachel's dedication and hard work earned her the position of Service Delivery Manager. In this role, she continues to leverage her extensive knowledge. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Rachel is a mother who balances her career with her family life. Rachel's innovative approach to problem-solving, and her deep industry knowledge make her a respected and admired member of our team.
Bianca Vertiz
This experience - combined with her strong skills in marketing, PR, and corporate branding that she has built up through completing her MBA with a Minor in Marketing in Mexico, and Masters in Public Relations in TU Dublin - make her the ideal person to lead the strengthening of our digital presence, our internal and external communications, as well as our outbound sales.
Bianca is one of those people that takes an idea and turns it into a reality, so with her help we have been able to implement and update many of our internal processes, considerably improving our talent management and customer service standards. She helps us to get things done.
David Hussey
Having worked for many years in both the Dublin and Vancouver Visual Arts scenes, Dave will always draw from his wealth of knowledge and experience when tackling new projects or coming up against industry challenges.
With a background in English and Photography, he loves to creatively problem solve, and he will think outside the box for both solutions and strategies. His previous experience as an Artist Liaison and Studio Manager means he understands the importance of efficient and proactive teamwork to deliver an unmatched, seamless result. Dave is delighted to be a part of our passionate, ambitious and dynamic team, and we’re excited for what the future has in store for The Production People – for us, the sky’s the limit!
Roisín Mcardle
At our sister company, Casting Ireland, Roisín is always looking for exciting job opportunities for all our Actors and Models and is a strong advocate for all the people that comprise our Talent pool. When casting a new project, she makes sure that all our proposals represent all the diversity that can be found in Ireland, as well as offer emerging talents a helping hand to start their careers in exciting projects.
Finding someone like her who is thorough, reliable, and versatile, as well as kind and thoughtful sometimes is a bit tricky, so we feel quite lucky to have Roisín on our team! We can’t wait to see all the amazing things we will achieve by her side.
